ARTWORK AND THOUGHTS

Rituparna’s work (see the world through my eyes) is a reflection of her inner feelings, her private experience, pleasures, and displeasures, though being very general. Because she believes-she is a woman she feels that pain, sorrow, happiness, love, care, music, glamour and women have always been closely linked. So in her painting the female figure is dominant most, as much as the real life(me & my surroundings). She uses a wide variety of colours, and loves manipulating them. Colours are all important; she loves the way it can evoke the emotions. We can always find the amalgamation of real and imagination in her painting.

When she goes about making a painting she starts by responding to something which is beautiful or quirky or fascinating to her in some very personal way. It can be anything, from a book, a magazine, and a poem, some music’s, day to day life's experiences whatever.

​She also believes that every artist needs to have his/her own style and use techniques that are suited to his/her character.
